A Day in the Life of...Aidan and Family 

A “fly on the wall” style documentary about the
family of a 4 year old with multi sensory impairment
and complex medical needs. This film covers a typical
24 hours in their lives and gives a real taste of everyday
daily life when caring for a child with special needs.
Narrated by the child’s mother, it follows them getting
through the day, and night, dealing with complex medical equipment
and procedures, medication, therapy and development interventions,
as well as attending to the needs of another young child and
household tasks. It provides a detailed account of the trials
and tribulations for people living with this kind of situation.
The film reveals how ordinary everyday tasks or events can
be time-consuming, fraught with difficulties and complications.
It highlights a range of issues for anyone involved
with parents/carers and provides many clues on where
support might be focused to make a difference
to families in similar situations.
